Introduction

In Yachen lineage(established by Lama Achuk Rinpoche) of which Gyalwai Nyugu Rinpoche is a lineage holder, students will be able to receive one-on-one guidance on Dzogchen meditation with an accomplished lineage master in person upon their completion of the Ngondro practices (four outer preliminaries and five inner preliminaries).  Our wish is to encourage and support students in their Ngondro practice so they can obtain the privilege of receiving personal instructions which will be tailored to their individual needs.

Hence, a series of virtual Ngondro retreats will be offered in sequence to go through the essential points of Longsal Dorje Nyingpo Ngondro(one of the two main Ngondros practiced within the Yachen lineage) practices. Gyalwai Nyugu Rinpoche has authorized Choegye Drakpa Rinpoche to give us guidance and instructions together with Lakshyong Gyamsto lama in these retreats.

The first Ngondro Retreat facilitated by Virtual Achen Gar for English-speaking students:

  • Time: Sunday August 30, 2020
  • Guided by: Choegye Drakpa Rinpoche, Lakshyong Gyamsto lama

The teaching focus of this retreat (#1) will be the explanation about the meaning of Ngondro practices, the essential points and practical instructions of the outer preliminary practices. Considering some students haven’t got lung(the reading transmission) before, Gyalwai Nyugu Rinpoche has appointed Lakshyong Gyamsto lama to give lung to students in the English group.

No matter if you are about to start, if you have already started, or even if you have already finished the Ngondro practices and would like to review some essential points in the lineage teachings, we believe this retreat would be of great benefits.
